This week on radiowilderlive.com #232 ’The Sweethearts’ we are going to feature ‘The International Sweethearts of Rhythm’ as our sticky!
They made history as the first all-female jazz band in the United States with members from diverse ethnic backgrounds. For 12 years, the Sweethearts featured over 50 of the greatest female musicians of the era, performing a mix of jazz, blues, swing and big band. They played all over the World from 1937-1949.
- We also have a little rock’nroll on tap and actually stumped Capt’n Dave with our Deuces groups last week, so we lead off the show with the one that stumped him!
- Brand new music from Midnight Oil and Jack White and Elvis Presley and Dwight Yoakam in the Deuces are Wilder segment.
- ’Baby Ruth’ is back from Europe and will crank the show up between 2:55-3:00 pm Eastern as usual.
