Our society could sometimes be oversimplified and narrow-minded when it comes to certain traditions. We are taught that hitting your child is always because of their love, no matter what. But this isn't always ideal or necessary.
In today's episode, I'll be sharing the impact of culture on how we communicate. Negative ideas, and how not questioning them can lead to problems down the line.

It's important to ask ourselves why we're doing this and if there's a better answer than just "It's fine for me." There are valid reasons for why we do such things, but the real question is, isn't there another way that won't result in physical and psychological consequences?

Quotes:
"When we defend things, our thoughts, our beliefs, our ideals, our actions should legitimately be questioned. And if we don't have real answers for them, then you're just defending something that you just don't have to." - Sarah Hipps
"There are plenty of things that I have lived through that I don't think anybody should have to live through. And our narrow sidedness of not recognizing if there are different paths to the same thing, even if it makes us uncomfortable, it needs to be explored." - Sarah Hipps
