Description

In this episode, I will discuss how self-sabotage can be a way to avoid feelings of fear or insecurity. I will offer advice on how to overcome rationalization, which is a knee-jerk response to avoid these feelings. I will also share how we have three voices inside of us and that our head usually just gives logical reasons for things on either side, but our heart is usually the one keeping us where we are. If we want to work on overcoming self sabotage, we need to set boundaries and figure out who we want to become and then build processes in place to help us get there.

Quotes:

"You have to keep running to outrun the beasts, but you're also trying to figure out what will happen once you get to the cliff. As you get closer, you see that there are pillars set up to allow you to cross the Canyon. You're deathly scared of heights, and the idea of having to jump from pillar to pillar is something you can't fathom doing. What other options do you have?" - Sarah Hipps

"At some point you have to become more stricter with yourself. Set boundaries, figure out who you want to become and then put processes in place to build towards it." - Sarah Hipps
