We have arrived at Yom Yahweh; this is the day of the Lord. Irish Scripture Scholar reads the last verses from Chapter 15 of the Book of Revelation which shows us the final chastisement. God removes power from human rulers which removes the kingship which He had given to Adam; God puts earth back into the order in which He had created it.
The seven angels introduced to us here are the seven angels we see in Chapter 1 of the Book of Revelation. They are here to carry out God’s will without questioning it; they represent God’s Holy wrath which will silence the earth. In the judgments that are coming, God asserts His right to holiness and purity; He rules with an iron staff. When judgment comes, everything is shut down and no one is allowed to enter His presence.
Everything that God does is out of love; God’s mercy is love, His justice is love, and He is love.
