It is possible that the government actually wants to collapse the welfare system. This could give them an excuse to fix the problem they created. Immigration of people who do not provide value & take handouts helps with this. Immigration of people who do not provide value also creates other crises. I find that if you want to know the truth, follow the money. This type of immigrant does not go to cities & states where there are no free handouts. It the answer doesn’t make sense, look at a bigger picture. As Ayn Rand would say, check you premises. We common folks may not be able to control what is happening, but we can control what effect it has on us. The middle-class may go away, but you can still do what it takes to become rich rather than poor.
