Optics
In order to maintain power, money and control you have to control the optics. The powers that be, give us the illusion of voting choice and then they let 2 candidates run. Both candidates loudly say different things but really they both want to increase government size and spending. The Fed and other central banks of the world publicly say they want to lower inflation (but only to 2%) and then they make decisions that guarantee more inflation.
