What is Money?
Anything can be used for “Money.” And things that have these 7 characteristics make better “Money” than other things. The more of these characteristics an object has, the better or “more sound” a money it makes. Money must be: 1) A medium of exchange. 2) A unit of account. 3) Portable. 4) Durable. 5) Divisible. 6) Fungible. 7) A store of Value.
