Cindy Wright discovered her love for physical activity at a young age after the death of her father and her brother’s move to university. As the Wellbeing Director for Gettysburg College, Cindy’s love for movement inspired her passion for supporting others to have healthy, meaningful and long-lasting lives.

About Our Guest:

Cindy Wright has three decades of experience at Gettysburg College. She first came to the College in 1990 as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation and as an adjunct instructor in the health sciences department. From 1993 to 1999, she served as the Director of Campus Recreation. In 2016, Wright was promoted to the Director of EES Student Success and Well-being.

As an instructor in the health sciences department, Wright has received a bevy of awards. She was named Outstanding Professor in the Sciences by the Order of Omega in 2003, 2004, and 2006, received the Student Senate Faculty Appreciation Award in 2008, was voted Favorite Professor at Gettysburg College by the Class of 2008, and in 2010 she was chosen as the speaker for baccalaureate. Recently, Wright was voted by the alumni as one of the top five current employees who had the biggest impact on their Gettysburg experience.
