• In the U.S., familial trafficking is one of the most underreported forms where a parent, guardian, or close relative is the trafficker.
• 73% of child sex trafficking survivors in the U.S. were trafficked by family members or someone they knew.
• Florida, California, and Texas remain top states for trafficking cases.
• Many victims are first exploited between the ages of 12-14.
• Technology and social media have become major recruitment tools.
• Trafficking doesn’t always involve movement it can happen right in your neighborhood.
• Less than 1% of victims are ever rescued.
