I would love to share some Surprising Reasons to Get More Sleep 1. Sharper Brain- Do you know that sleep plays a big part in learning and memory, without enough sleep it becomes hard to stay focused and take in new information. Sleep lets your brain catch up, so you are ready for the next day.

Mode Boast – As you sleep your brain also processes emotions. It needs this time to recognize and react the right way. When you don’t sleep it starts a chain of reactions to more negative emotions and fewer positive ones. Did you know that one large study showed that when you have insomnia, you're five times more likely to develop depression, and your odds of anxiety or panic disorders are even greater. Getting good rest will help you reset, improve your outlook on life, and be better prepared to meet your daily challenges.

2. Healthier Heart- When you are asleep did you know your blood pressure goes down, which gives your heart and blood vessels a bit of a rest. So, remember the less sleep you get, the longer your blood pressure stays up during a 24-hour cycle. Having high blood pressure can lead to heart disease and even a stroke. So, get your rest

3. Steadier Blood Sugar- During your deep sleep the glucose in your blood drops. When you allow yourself to go into a deep sleep, you are less likely to get type 2 diabetes.

4. Germ Fighting- You might say really like germs. Remember, your immune system identifies harmful bacteria and viruses in your body and the goal is to destroy them. When you lack sleep, you will change the way your immune system works. The reaction would slow the process down and might even cause you to get sicker.

5. Weight Control- It has been said when you are well rested your are less hungry, it also control your appetite. Fun right, lol. With those out of balance, your resistance to the temptation of unhealthy foods goes way down. And when you're tired, you're less likely to want to get up and move your body.
