Fear disrupts normal life. Success hinges on managing fear, as illustrated in Judges 6 with Gideon:
- God Makes the Called Brave: Gideon, a coward, is called a "mighty man of valor" not for his courage but for what God will make him.
- We Are God’s Instruments: God uses us to accomplish His work in our generation.
- Start at Home: Gideon destroys his family’s idol first, showing personal transformation precedes external impact. Idols cause disobedience and anxiety.
- Courage Despite Fear: Courage is following God amid fear, empowered by His promise, “I am with you.”
- The Cross Replaces the Fleece: The cross assures us of God’s presence and love, casting out fear (1 John 4:18).
Courage comes from our identity in Christ, not personal strength, enabling us to act as His ambassadors.
