Although the group follows, Baelthor might be starting to regret his choice of company. While he had already been traveling with Brother Ripov, Saltok's patience with the snake oil salesman's questionable antics is starting to wear thin. Skeeter has seemingly found a new convert for the flock in young Clark. Then there is Will, still worshipping The All-Mother. What does the wasp want? Will this unlikely group persevere?
