• Nonverbal Cues: Pay attention to body language and tone of voice, which often speak louder than words.
• Practice Active Listening: Focus entirely on your partner without interrupting, reflecting back on what you hear to ensure understanding. 
• Use "I" Statements: Express feelings using "I feel..." to avoid sounding accusatory (e.g., "I feel overwhelmed" vs. "You make me feel..."). 
• Dedicate Daily Time (10-Minute Rule): Spend at least 10 minutes daily discussing non-stressful topics (hopes, dreams, gratitude) to keep connections strong. 
• Create Uninterrupted Time: Schedule at least three hours weekly with no phones or distractions to focus solely on each other. 
• Show Empathy and Respect: Try to understand your partner's perspective, even when disagreeing, and maintain a kind, respectful tone. 
• Manage Conflict Constructively: Take breaks when emotions escalate to prevent damaging arguments. 
• Be Vulnerable and Honest: Openly share feelings and fears to deepen emotional intimacy. 
• Regularly Express Gratitude: Frequently acknowledge and appreciate your partner’s actions.
