In this week’s episode of Second Look, WZND’s Rachael Deerfield and Kaitlyn Witas took a look at local news, featuring a food pantry at the Normal Public Library, the repurposing of the old Pantagraph building, an ISU worker strike and sexual assault awareness month. Next, they talked about ISU sports.
 
To open the show WZND’s Jade Roth spoke with Morgan Bueza, a library assistant, and Laura Golaszewski, the library’s patron experience manager about the purpose of the pantry (0:44). 
 
Next, WZND’s Ben Webster spoke to City Economic Development Specialist Josh Maubach about the redevelopment plan for the old Pantagraph building. (11:18) 
 
Afterwards, the team looked into the details of the AFSCME Local 1110 ISU worker strike. Then, they dove deeper into Kaitlyn’s story in which she spoke to the president of Students Ending Rape Culture Lauren Bounds about their day of no silence event (21:04)
 
After the break, Kaitlyn answered some questions about sexual assault awareness month.
 
To conclude the show, the team talked about all things ISU sports including softball, baseball and tennis.
