In this week’s episode of Second Look, WZND’s Rachael Deerfield and Kaitlyn Witas took a look at local news, featuring a Veteran’s Day event, the American Red Cross of Central Illinois’ Evening of Stars, how the Central Illinois Regional Airport was affected by the government shutdown and Tik Tok star Adam Killa’s visit campus. Next, they talked about ISU sports, and then interviewed WZND’s Colleen Holden about this month’s edition of Birds-I-View.

 

To open the show WZND’s June Delahunty talked with the The Illinois State University Veterans and Military Services Office Coordinator of Veterans and Military services, Patrick McGuire about their annual Veteran’s Day event. (0:53)

Next, WZND’s Jacie Hinton spoke to the Executive Director for the American Red Cross Serving Central Illinois, Lyn Hruska about the Red Cross’ Evening of Stars event: (2:59)

Afterwards, WZND’s Jade Roth spoke with Marketing and Communications Manager at the Central Illinois Regional Airport, Melissa Beaver, about how Bloomington-Normal has been affected by the government shutdown. (10:47)

Then, the team discussed Tik Tok Star Adam Killa’s visit to ISU.

 

After the break, the team looked at scores for ISU volleyball, football and basketball.

 

To conclude the show, WZND’s Colleen Holden joined the team in the office to discuss this month’s edition of Birds-I-View focusing on the impact of local government.
