Description

In this episode of A Brothers' Creed Podcast we share gladiator stories from ancient Rome. What started out as public execution by animals (elephants stepping on people’s heads) the arena sports developed into gladiators fighting one another and animals alike. The gladiator became a sex symbol in ancient Rome and in many cases their sweat and blood were put into face creams and onto jewelry as an aphrodisiac. We share many different stories of how these bloody gladiator fights ensued and hit on some of the great names from history. Ethan then tells the story of the Gladiator rebellion lead by Spartacus who was truly a Breaker of Chains, and freed many slaves throughout the Roman empire. All in an attempt to topple those in power.  Don’t miss this fascinating view into the history of these games and what impact it had on the civilization at the time.
