Welcome to another episode of the show! Today we will finish discussing Chapter One of Part 2 (The Sacrament) by looking at the final section on “Sacrament and “Redemption of the Body”. This section begins at Audience 99:4 and concludes with Audience 102.

Reflection Questions:  

  1. What spoke to your heart most from this episode? 
  2. How would you answer the questions: Who am I? Why am I here? 
  3. Eros is your desire and Ethos is what directs the desire to God (the True, Good, and Beautiful). This is how we experience our Redemption. Do you allow your desires to point you to God? 
  4. Do you believe that God will make it possible for you to have a selfless relationship with your spouse? Are you relying on yourself or on the power of the Holy Spirit? 
  5. Where can you see the graces of the Sacrament of Marriage flowing in your relationship with your spouse and in your family? 
  6. Have you ever considered how every new life brings with it the hope of a new life in Heaven? Pray with this thought that so much more is happening when we have children than what we see in this life. 
  7. Have you included God in your spousal union and decisions regarding conceiving children? If this isn’t something you have considered, see the resources below for more. 
  8. Reflect on what St. Pope John Paul II had to say about marriage in Familiaris Consortio. What do you feel God is wanting you to know? 
  9. Think of a couple you admire. What is it about them that you admire or want to emulate?
