So you must have wisdom to best know how, when, and how much to apply logic. Our conversation meanders to Lois Lowry’s “The Giver,” where there is a rigorous discipline around the use of words. Ian opines that there is an overemphasis on belonging in this society, and he contrasts this with strong man fascism.
