Description

Trauma is something that I think every single person goes through. The loss of a pet, the loss of a loved one, a car accident, parents divorcing, etc., these are all considered traumatic events. But trauma affects everyone differently, and to different extents. Some people may not be affected at all by the trauma they’ve been through, while others are affected for the rest of their lives.

Everything a person goes through in their life will have some sort of effect on them as they get older, whether that be good or bad. And this all starts in childhood. We discuss the ACES Study, PTSD, and Vicarious Trauma.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
