We're back!
This time in the doomsday bunker. We huddle up in our respective homes and cast out to the world with the boys, our new favorite co-host Honesty, and joined by special guest Tas Evans! She advocates and goes to school for Cannabis, and is outspoken while also being open minded! She was a blast to talk to and we can't wait to have her back in person once this Rona Bologna passes.
We do a little catching up and reminiscing, and then cover our current situation. The US government's delayed response has escalated the seriousness of the situation and millions of Americans are being laid off. We also discuss some of the unforeseen benefits and consequences of the pandemic.. Such as our carbon footprint decreasing while global production slows to a halt. Or the current administration finally talking about health care and social issues in a way that makes more sense for everyone's success! Oh, and we definitely talk about meme culture and influencers licking ice cream in between all of this... cus that's the world folks!
Next, we ask our guest the questions we've been saving for her specifically. Tas has spoken on another podcast (Adult Conversations, GO GIVE THEM A LISTEN AND A SUBSCRIBE!) about interracial dating and the duties of the parties involved to be respectful to the history and current situation of race matters. Should a white person date a brown person to begin with? Should whites ask their brown friends first? Is this a matter of preference or is it discrimination to only date a specific color of people? What if we make this about gender identity instead of racial identity? Where are the lines and when should they be crossed, if at all? How does color-ism play into all of this? We pick her brain and get into the weeds a little, but Tas is a master at navigating these issues and was a pleasure to have this enlightening conversation with. Especially now, while we are all trapped inside!
