Romans 12:4 (write this out and put it up where you can see it daily) Don't get bullied into parenting like the world parents. We have a much better option! Simple but not easy.
And do not be conformed to this world (any longer, with its superficial values and customs), but be transformed and progressively changed (as you mature spiritually) by the renewing of your mind (focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes), so that you may prove (for yourselves) what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect (in His plan and purpose for you).

You are the parent and God entrusted you with your children. He knew exactly what He was doing when He gave them to you. You are equipped and called for your mission. Don't take it lightly and don't be bullied or swayed into parenting like the world.
