- In this episode, we read 1 Chronicles chapters 28-29. As David nears the end of his life, he gathers Israel’s leaders to give final instructions for building the temple. He charges Solomon to be strong and faithful in carrying out God’s plan, and the people joyfully give offerings for the work of the Lord. David then offers a heartfelt prayer of praise before passing the kingdom to Solomon. These chapters remind us of the power of faithful leadership, generous giving, and devotion to God’s purposes that last beyond our lifetime.
