In this episode, we read 1 Kings chapters 12–13. After Solomon’s death, his son Rehoboam’s harsh response to the people causes the kingdom to split—Judah under Rehoboam and Israel under Jeroboam. Jeroboam leads the northern kingdom into idolatry by setting up golden calves, drawing the people away from true worship. A man of God is sent to deliver a warning, showing that the Lord still calls His people back to obedience. These chapters remind us of the dangers of pride and disobedience and the importance of listening to God’s voice.
