In this episode, we read Jeremiah chapters 48 and 49, where the Lord pronounces judgment on the surrounding nations, including Moab, Ammon, Edom, Damascus, Kedar, Hazor, and Elam. These prophecies reveal God’s righteous response to pride, violence, and rebellion, showing that no nation is beyond His authority or awareness.
At the same time, God’s compassion is woven into these messages, as He grieves over the coming destruction and even offers glimpses of future restoration for some nations. These chapters remind us that God is both just and merciful — opposing pride while calling all people to humility, repentance, and trust in Him alone.
