I've got a pretty good strike rate for getting things right on this channel, whether its election or the political climate, but boy did I get the Taliban wrong - and who knew! When the Americans pulled out of Afghanistan, I said there was no way the Taliban would go back to their old ways and treatment of women, as they sought international legitimacy and personal enrichment. Well, I totally f*****ed that up.
