Leadership is a sensitive topic in our Filipinx community. And the reasons for this are layered. Being part of a Diasporic community and histories of dictatorship, there can be clashing definitions of what leadership, community, progress, and legacy mean. Sometimes our best intentions to come together, operate in mechanisms that drive us apart.
