In episode thirty five, we discuss the tragic murder of Sylvia Likens. In October of 1965, Sylvia Likens was viciously tortured by her caregiver Gertrude Baniszewski, her children, and some neighborhood children, this torture resulted in her death. Baniszewski, and the young children whom she had manipulated, were all tried for Sylvia's death. After a whirlwind trial, the truth about the reality of the horrors Sylvia endured were revealed and showed that Baniszewski was far more sadistic than anyone realized.
