Sneaker culture has evolved over the last 10 years. The days when you had to stand in line for sneakers are long gone. You have apps like the SNKRS app that allow people to put their name into a drawing for exclusive sneakers. The only problem is that these exclusive sneakers are still difficult to get because very few pairs are released to the public. With the shoes being rare, that allows the resell price to sky rocket! This allows "resellers" to sell sneakers for double, triple, and even quadruple the retail price on apps such as StockX, GOAT, and Grailed. StockX is now worth 1 Billion dollars due to the surge of sneaker reselling. I have my friends Jamaal (@chxck.viz) and Alton back on the podcast to discuss this topic. Is sneaker reselling good for sneaker culture or is it hurting it? No matter what you think, sneaker reselling is "the new real estate."
