**Clay Edwards Show – Episode 1203: Wood Street vs. Little Street Debate**

Clay rips into the Jackson City Council’s proposal to rename Wood Street to “Little Street” after the JSU band director. He points out that Wood Street is one of the most violent, dangerous streets in the country, known for gangs, drugs, and constant chaos in the McLaurin neighborhood.

Councilman Kenneth Stokes supports the name change, but longtime community activist Byron “Batman” Donaldson shows up to the meeting and gets into a heated confrontation with Stokes — to the point the new female police chief has to physically hold Batman back.

Clay calls the whole thing ridiculous, joking that the Wood Street Boys gang is going to have to rebrand as the “Little Street Boys,” and says changing the name won’t fix the culture rot, violence, or the fact that the area is still plagued by the same problems. He ties it into the bigger picture of Jackson’s ongoing dysfunction and why cosmetic changes like this are pointless without real accountability.

Unfiltered, no sugar added reality radio.
