Description

In this episode of Coffee with the Superintendent, we turn to Philippians 2:9–11, the climactic moment of Paul’s Christ hymn. In the First Pour, we reflect on the exaltation of Jesus, not as a reversal of the cross, but as God’s public vindication of the Son’s obedient love. We explore what it means to confess Jesus as Lord in a world that offers competing loyalties, and how New Covenant allegiance reshapes our identity, hope, and daily obedience. The Second Pour celebrates community, birthdays, and student life, while the Final Pour challenges us to think clearly about truth, allegiance, and citizenship under the lordship of Christ.
