Description

In this episode of Coffee with the Superintendent, we turn our attention to Philippians 2:12–13 and explore one of the most misunderstood yet deeply comforting truths of the Christian life. Paul’s call to “work out your salvation with fear and trembling” is not a demand for self-generated holiness, but an invitation to live out what God Himself is already accomplishing within His people. Through a New Covenant lens, we will see how obedience flows from transformation, not obligation, and how God supplies both the desire and the strength to walk faithfully. Along the way, we will celebrate our community, highlight upcoming athletics, and anchor our hearts in the covenant promise of the indwelling Holy Spirit, fulfilled in Christ and poured out at Pentecost. This episode reminds us that the Christian life is serious, meaningful, and reverent, yet grounded in grace and sustained by God’s ongoing work.
