In this episode we visit More Than Ed, a specialist SEMH school in Doncaster supporting just 24 pupils through an exceptional 1:1 staffing model. More Than Ed offers a deeply personalised and flexible approach to education, designed specifically for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. During our visit, we see how the school creates a safe, nurturing environment where each pupil is understood as an individual with the space, consistency, and care needed to thrive. We explore how this intimate setting helps pupils build confidence, emotional stability and a renewed sense of possibility, especially for those who have struggled in larger or more traditional educational environments. Through conversations with staff and the school community, we uncover the real impact of an SEMH-focused model that prioritises humanity, dignity and hope. If you’re interested in inclusive, relationship-centred education and what it truly takes to support vulnerable young people, this episode is not to be missed.
