Description

In this second message from Jonah, we watch a reluctant prophet try to outrun God and discover that God’s mercy is far more persistent than Jonah’s resistance. As a storm exposes Jonah’s misplaced identity and sleeping faith, we’re confronted with our own tendency to run, disengage, or let lesser loyalties shape who we are. This sermon invites us to wake up, receive God’s mercy for ourselves, and trust the better Jonah—Jesus—who calms the storm and calls us home.
