Description

Phineas Gage is known as “the man who created neuroscience” because he’s one of the most well known early cases of surviving traumatic brain damage. During a workplace accident, a tamping rod went through Phineas’ skull. He would survive but was reported to have a completely different personality after the accident, this led to multiple studies on how the human brain, specifically the frontal lobe works in connection with our personalities.
