After inviting us to look backward, then forward, then within to see all the ways that God has been and is and will be blessing us, we then look at three sections that start with the request/command to "Awake!". When we do, we find that God is contending for us and bringing us salvation. A parallel is seen in some of the verses from Ephesians 1.
