Today we come to one of the most amazing stories in the book of Mark, the story of the transfiguration of Jesus. The disciples were continuing to struggle in understanding all that Jesus wanted them to understand about Him. So, in Mark chapter 9, we see Jesus taking Peter, James, and John up on a mountain for an encounter they would never forget. This seemed to be a turning point for Peter, James, and John because although they still had much to learn, now they had seen Jesus clearly for who He really was and had a different perspective and a better understanding of how important it was to listen and learn from Jesus.
