Authority doesn’t reveal who you are when it agrees with you. Authority reveals who you are when it presses on you.
Pastor Chris was back in the pulpit today with a timely message about authority, submission, and the ways in which the Lord reveals Himself through all of it. He taught that God is sovereign over authority – even when authority is imperfect, submission is about order – not blind obedience, and honor is our witness – even when we disagree.
