This is part 2 of my discussion with Tamara Walker, Associate Professor of History at the University of Toronto. We discuss her trajectory of becoming a historian and doing research in Argentina and Peru as a Black woman. I'm wearing a bonnet because they need more love and so do Black women. We discuss how Peruvian enslavers forced their slaves to wear nice clothes, defying sumptuary laws in colonial Peru while preventing free Blacks from doing the same.
