This Week’s Discussion:
Just in time for our show this week on the evils of the super-rich, finance billionaire Michael Bloomberg may be about to enter the presidential race. Apparently filling the great need in our government for someone to pursue the interests of Wall Street billionaires.
We think billionaires already have way too much power and this week's special episode is going to advance that argument. We do also address some of the big news of the week, which say a lot about how lucrative it is to be rich. California continues to burn with a primary assist from climate change, but a new report says that while many homeowners are being devastated, the rich are making out like bandits. And the Trump administration says it will roll-back rules designed to limit coal plants' ability to dump poisonous metals in our water supply; so even not poisoning children and cleaning up after themselves are too much for the rich.
