En este episodio cargado de acción, seguimos a Álvaro en su llegada a Guatemala haciendo escala en Tegucigalpa , con un ojo morado, recuerdo del Carnaval de Panamá. Esteban lo está esperando en el aeropuerto y pronto salen disparados en el Golf GTI rojo ya conocido, rumbo a la casa de seguridad de Antonio, su compañera Yambré y su hijito de tres años, el Chato, a quienes Álvaro compara con José, María y el niño Jesús. En la casa lo espera Sebastián ahora Pablo, podrán compartir unos días antes de partir cada uno a sus respectivos frentes.
El episodio cobra aún más intensidad con la aparición del Comandante en Jefe Gaspar Ilóm, que muchos años después se enteraría de que era el hijo del Premio Nobel de Literatura Miguel Ángel Asturias. Gaspar les informó que Pablo iría al Frente Uno al mando de Luis Ixmatá y Álvaro al Frente Dos bajo el mando de Javier Tambriz.
La verdadera tensión comienza con un peligroso trayecto en Jeep, cargado de armas y provisiones, hacia la casa de la abuelita en una pequeña aldea al pie de la montaña. De la oscuridad salen los guerrilleros con los que emprenderá la dura y larga marcha para llegar al Campamento El Paraíso. Así inicia la vida guerrillera de nuestro protagonista.
In this action-packed episode, we follow Álvaro as he arrives in Guatemala, making a stop in Tegucigalpa, bearing a black eye—a souvenir from the Panama Carnival. Esteban awaits him at the airport, and soon they speed off in the familiar red Golf GTI toward the safe house of Antonio, his partner Yambré, and their three-year-old son, Chato, whom Álvaro compares to Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus. At the house, Sebastián—now known as Pablo—awaits him, and they will have a few days together before departing for their respective fronts.
The episode intensifies with the arrival of Commander-in-Chief Gaspar Ilóm, who, years later, Álvaro would learn that he was the son of Nobel Prize-winning writer Miguel Ángel Asturias. Gaspar informs them that Pablo will head to Front One under the command of Luis Ixmatá, while Álvaro will go to Front Two, led by Javier Tambriz.
The real tension begins with a perilous journey in a Jeep loaded with weapons and supplies, heading toward The Grany’s House in a small village at the foot of the mountain. From the darkness, guerrilla fighters emerge, with whom Álvaro embarks on the arduous and lengthy march to reach Camp El Paraíso. Thus begins our protagonist’s guerrilla life.
