Over the weekend hundreds of young men saw the NFL dream realized and the world witnessed a human run a marathon in under two hours for the first time. As Gibbs was watching these wonderful events unfold his mind drifted to the question of what happens next? What now? He identifies three paths that every person walks down after a mighty victory. He shares Gideon as an example in Judges 8 who succumbs to idolatry after the victory, he thinks of Elijah who succumbs to fear after a victory in 1 Kings, and there is a road less traveled where we handle success with grace and generosity, while getting ready for the next mission.
