Suffering is guaranteed in this life. No doubt, you might be in the midst of suffering right now. The Lord does not want us to waste our sufferings but to suffer with a great purpose and passion for the Lord.

Five distinguishing marks of a Godward sufferer:

1. Seeks the Lord (1-2)
2. Trusts His Goodness (3; 7-8)
3. Praises His Name (3-5)
4. Delights in His Character (4)
5. Expects His Judgments (9-11)
