Gospel obedience is always rooted in gospel realities. In the opening verses, Peter calls us to bless God for the new birth (3-5), for the trials (6-9), and for God's unprecedented grace (10-12). Now, in light of these gospel truths, he calls us to live out our salvation.

Big Idea: In view of God's redeeming grace in Christ, live out your salvation!

1. Live out your salvation by setting your hope in the grace to come (13)
2. Live out your salvation by being holy (14-16)
3. Live out your salvation by living fearfully (17-21)
