Following the flashback of John's death, Matthew put the spotlight squarely on Jesus. Against the dark scenes of a bloodthirsty king Herod, we see a portrait of a compassionate, kind, and giving Christ, who’s concerned more for the wellbeing of others than His own.
Big Idea: Jesus is a compassionate, resourceful, and all-satisfying Giver, so receive Him and give Him to others.
