This video is a response to a comment I received on a recent video which insinuated that Calvinism is the "plain and simple truth" taught in Ephesians 1:5.
Does Ephesians 1:5 plainly and clearly teach the Calvinistic doctrine of unconditional election? Has God predestined some to heaven and some to hell from before the foundation of the world as Calvinists would argue this passage teaches? In this video I look at Ephesians 1:3-5 to explain what Paul says Christians were actually chosen and predestined FOR.
When we see references to God "choosing" or "predestining" in the bible, we would do well to not immediately assume this is a reference to "initial salvation."
