Ann Marie McQueen is an award-winning Canadian health and wellness journalist living and working in the Middle East and going through the peri/menopause transition. Ann Marie was a columnist and national trends writer for Sun Media in Ottawa before moving abroad in 2008 to join the team that launched The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi. In addition to overseeing coverage that prompted major reforms of the UAE government’s accessibility policy, she became the Middle East’s first sustainability columnist and, later, features editor. She is now the founding editor-in-chief of Livehealthy, the Middle East’s first fitness and wellness online magazine, podcast, and annual festival for men and women. Among her achievements are awards from the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario for excellence in health writing.
