Born in 100BC Gaius Julius Caesar was a courageous Roman general, an inspiring leader and a crafty statesman. He played a pivotal role in the fall of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire. During his eventful life, he beat all his enemies but was eventually beaten by his own friends. This is his story.
