Description

Have you ever gone through something so distressing that you’ve cried yourself to sleep? I mean, the kind of crying where you can barely breathe and your eyes are puffy and red? Those are the kinds of tears that lead to exhaustion, but falling asleep out of exhaustion doesn’t mean we’ll be rested. Crying that hard is a lot of labor! We need to put those tears to work. That's called "crying with purpose."

The Bible has a lot to say about crying, but it’s a different kind: it’s crying in prayer, not just shedding tears. There will be situations in life that disappoint, discourage, and maybe even shock us, but we can cry with purpose. This episode shares three examples from scripture that will help us to cry in prayer, which is crying with purpose.
