It's not based on our self-effort or our striving. God initiates revelation (Isaiah 65)
and true revelation is coming to the knowledge of who God is.
God reveals Himself in this life through natural revelation, special revelation, and Christological revelation. While we must wait to see the fullness of God, the Holy Spirit is right now actively searching and revealing more of God to us.
