It’s easy to think that idolatry existed only in the Old Testament, and that it only had to do with golden calves or wooden statues. But the truth is, idolatry is alive and well in our lives today. We may not always recognize our idols, but they are most certainly there. Our hearts are drawn away from Jesus and we find them clinging to people and things. A good thing becomes a controlling thing. We need to identify them, apply His Truth to our hearts (and minds), and ultimately lay our idols at His feet. Join us as we talk about what modern day idols are, where they come from, and how to get rid of them. We’ll share our own struggles and the hope we have in Jesus.
